Information For Authors

Guidelines for author of IJCR Indonesian Journal of Chemical Research :

1) IJCR Indonesian Journal of Chemical Researches, receives scientific articles in the area of chemistry. The article can be a dissemination of the result of research or a comprehensive review article.

2) The published articles are selected by editorial board based on the review result. The articles should not be published elsewhere before. In order to assure the quality of publication, the editor of IJCR Indonesian Journal of  Chemical Research might do format editing without disturbing the substance of the article.

3) IJCR Indonesian Journal of Chemical Research receives articles in Indonesian or English. Articles written in Indonesian must include abstract in English and in Indonesian.

4) Abstract should be written in Times New Roman 12 pt and a single space. The abstract should not more than 250 words. Please avoid to use acronyms, abbreviation, or symbols in the abstract. Abstract should describe qualitative and quantitative information and includes 3-5 keywords related to substance of the abstract.

5) Article should be written in MS word, times new roman 12 pt of font type, and 1.5 space. The paper size is A4, with margin of top, bottom, and right are 2.5, and the left margin is 3.0 cm. The first line of paragraph should be in line to 1 cm.

6) The manuscript must be saved in the MS word format and the article should be submitted online through  http://jurnal.uii.ac.id/index.php/chemical.   Author need to do registration to get a username and password for login.

7) Name of author(s) is written without degree/salutation. Meanwhile, name and address of affiliation must be written completely include the email of corresponding author.

8) The manuscript consists of abstract, introduction, method, result and discussion, conclusion, acknowledgement (if any) and references. Meanwhile, a review manuscript can be written without method section.

9) Number of tables, figures, mathematical equations and chemical reactions are in accordance with their citation in the text.

10) Figures are presented in high pixelation (min. 300 dpi). If it is necessary, author(s) might submit a separated file of figures (in jpeg, giff, tiff or png formate) for editing process.

11) The citation and references should follow Harvard style. Example of reference writing are:

In-text citations: All citations in the text should refer to:
  1. Single author: the author’s name (without initials, unless there is ambiguity) and the year of publication;
  2. Two authors: both authors‟ names and the year of publication;
  3. Three or more authors: first author’s name followed by ‘et al.’ and the year of publication.

Reference list: References should be arranged by number (Vancouver style). The examples of references writing are:
