Abstract
Air backwash memiliki kadar Fe dan Mn masing-masing sebesar 74,87 mg/liter dan 1,74 mg/liter. Pengolahan dilakukan dengan koagulasi (terjunan), flokulasi (bak kelok) dan sedimentasi. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah mengetahui dosis koagulan dan waktu pengendapan optimum pengolahan air bekas backwash. Pengolahan secara koagulasi dilakukan variasi terhadap dosis koagulan (0 mg/L, 0,1 mg/L, 0,5 mg/L, 0,7 mg/L, 0,9 mg/L) dan dilakukan dengan metode jar test. Proses sedimentasi dilakukan variasi terhadap waktu tinggal/waktu pengendapan yaitu 0 menit, 30 menit dan 60 menit. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh dosis optimum 0,1 g/L dan waktu optimum pengendapan adalah 30 menit. Kata Kunci : pengolahan, air backwash, koagulasi, flokulasi
