Abstract
Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui metode dan hasil pembinaan akhlak siswa di SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif (descriptive research). Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui pengamatan, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: pertama, metode pembinaan akhlak di SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta adalah: metode contoh teladan, pembiasaan yang baik, pemberian nasihat, perhatian khusus, hukuman, dan metode cerita. Kedua, hasil dari pembinaan akhlak siswa tersebut adalah bahwa siswa: terbiasa mengucap salam dan bersalaman setiap bertemu guru, mentaati perintah guru dan tata tertib sekolah, lebih disiplin dalam mengikuti program kegiatan-kegiatan keagamaan, baik di sekolah maupun di masyarakat, dan lebih menghargai orang lain.
