Abstract
Recently, many communities have been made by people from small scale up to big scale, local or international communities scale also. These communities assist their activities including chatting, sharing information and also conferencing between each others as mobile. One kind of tool, for instance Yahoo Messenger Mobile have provided to chat only, except blackberry device have supported conference feature, but the device is still expensive and it also to create a communication, some requirements must be available, such as internet connectivity. Furthermore, other problems are the server location placed at abroad and the price (billing) is still expensive for a few people especially for a small community located at the local institution that should be done free of charge. At this constraint, we resolve by constructing a chatting application that run on mobile device, it supports conferencing feature. The implementation of this application uses Java programming language, Wifi infrastructure and a local server, in such away the small community does not need worry about payment alias free of charge and free from internet connectivity problems. The graphic result could be seen at the Gambar 16. Other advantages are maintaining and managing system easier, secure, also no effect of international bandwidth.
