Millah: Jurnal Studi Agama is international double-blind peer-review journal focusing on religion studies. The journal welcomes contribution in the following topics:

Publication Frequency

The journal publishes two issues in one volume a year. The issues are expected to be published in February and August of each year.


Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.



This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

Article processing charges are nill.

Millah: Jurnal Studi Agama is fully funded by Master of Islamic Studies, Postgradate Program, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Islamic University of Indonesia.



Peer Review Process

Peer review process in Millah: Jurnal Studi Agama can be described as follow:

Each submitted article will be firstly checked by editor-in-chief for journal standard, relevance of topics, and plagiarism check.

When an article meets journal standard, relevance of topics, and plagiarism check, editor-in-chief assign an editor assitant who will send the article to at least two reviewers.

Millah: Jurnal Studi Agama applies double blind policy for peer review process. Author send the article with no knowledge of reviewers and the author' name is enclosed to reviewers. 

After receiving review results, editor-in-chief will decide whether the article should be accepted, accepted after revision, or rejected.

Once an article is accepted, it will be sent to proofreader and layouter for final process before publishing.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
  3. Plagiarism Check

All article submitted to Millah: Jurnal Studi Agama is subject to plagiarism check. Millah uses iThenticate to check plagiarism with a rigid rule that only article with less than 20% similirity index is accepted for journal.
