As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

Criteria of Article:


    1. The articles should be the results of empirical research and ideas or concepts regarding Islamic Law in accordance with theme of publication of journal and they be reviewed by blind review.

    1. The articles have not been published in any printed media, book, hand out or seminar.

    1. The title of article should be concise, simple and informative.

    1. The articles and abstracts must be written in good Arabic or English.

    1. The articles should include and abstract of not more than 300 words then clearly defines the thesis and the source quoted.

    1. The articles should be typed in MS Word, single space, Times New Roman, size 12 pt, size of paper as A4.

    1. The length of article must range between 6000-10.000 words. It could be classified into sections. Sections should be bold. Subsections should be bold and italic or maximum number of pages is 15 ( including figures and tables).

    1. The articles should be submitted as e-mail attachments in Word format with notes at the end of the file and the articles should be sent by email to: jurnal.mawarid@gmail.com or jurnal.mawarid@yahoo.com

    1. The authors’identities should be stated separately (name, institution, and e-mail).

    1. Authors of article are asked to carefully check the proofs. They should keep in mind that the aim of proofreading is to correct errors that may have occurred during the production. The authors have the final responsibility for the corrections. Corrections should be returned within a week and can be sent back either as detailed list by email. As soon as the proofs are returned, the article will be corrected and posted for the on-line publication.

    1. Publication of material in the journal means that the author assigns copyright to al-Mawarid. However, author may use his/her material in other publications acknowledging al-Mawarid as the original places of publication. Requests by third parties for permission to reprint should be addressed to the editor of this journal.



Translation System

The author can use the system of translation adopted in the International Journal of Middle East Studies or that of used the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia but diacritics must be reduced for simplification.

Offprint

Authors of articles or reviews receive copies in print of the issue where their article is published. They will be sent an electronic offprint by the publisher.
