Abstract
Daily activities of Indonesian people show that law culture of society is decreasing. Advocate as one of law instruments play an important role in empowering law consciousness of Indonesian people. This is happened because the function of advocate is give the advocacy to all people without exception. The other said, the advocate also gives law advises to society.The Act No. 18, 2003 on Advocacy gives equal role for syariah scholar and law scholar. From this equal role, the syariah scholar can play an important role in empowering law consciousness of society and also can give his knowledge of Islamic values.
