Author Guidelines
GENERAL INFORMATION
Economics, Finance, and Business Review is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Master of Economics, Department of Economics, Faculty of Business and Economics, Islamic University of Indonesia. This journal publishes the results of scientific works on Economics, Finance, and Business. The specific fields for the Economics category are Monetary Economics, Development Economics, Public Economics, Regional Economics, International Economics, and Islamic Economics. The fields for the Finance category are Banking, Investment, Tax, Accounting, Behavioural Finance, and Islamic Finance. The specific fields for the Business are Business Strategy and Innovation, Corporate Governance, Human Resource Management, Marketing and Consumer Behavior.
MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION
Preparation of The Manuscript
Each manuscript submitted to Economics, Finance, and Business Review is the result of original work, has never been published before, and is not being processed in other journals. Each manuscript must follow the aim and scope well written under the author’s guidelines in the Journal of Economic and Financial Policy.
Structure of the manuscript
Title. The title must represent the main idea of the manuscript and be written in an informative, accurate, concise and not multi-interpretative manner.
Author's names and institutions. The Author's name should be accompanied by the Author's institutions and email addresses, without any academic title. For a joint paper, one of the authors should be notified of the corresponding Author.
Abstract. The abstract contains a summary of articles with a range between 150-250 words written with the following structure:
Purpose – presenting new or novel research and key arguments for the problems that have been solved.
Methods – explaining the study's methods, tools, and datasets.
Findings – summarizing the main result of the research
Implication - explain the impact on future research and practical aspects based on the research's main findings.
Keywords: Three to five appropriate and short keywords that capture the principal topics of the paper.

Introduction
The introduction is the paper's broad beginning with three important aspects: study background, research problems, and theoretical frameworks.
Literature Review
A literature review section summarizes or analyzes all the research and provides the background on who has done related research, what that research has or has not uncovered, and how the current research contributes to the conversation on the topic.
Methods
The methods section describes data and techniques/tools to investigate a research problem. The methods consist of identifying the source and any problems or special features of the data, describing the model and techniques/tools, explain the features of techniques/tools that may affect the results.
Results and Discussion
The results section reports the findings of the study based on applying the models using techniques/tools to gather information. This section must consist of identifying the results to answer your research question, interpreting and describing the significant findings of the research, and discussing the findings with the existing literature. The results section should state the research findings logically without bias or interpretation.
Conclusion
The conclusion sections must consist of the main points or findings, indicate further research lines, explain the limitations of this study, and provide policy implications.
Acknowledgment
Acknowledge anyone who contributed to the article but does not meet the criteria for authorship. If you do not have anyone to acknowledge, please write 'not applicable in this section.
References
This section lists only the papers, reference books, or other types of publications referred to in the manuscript's body. The manuscript is expected to include primary and updated references.
MANUSCRIPT REQUIREMENTS
General Writing Format
- The manuscript is prepared in an A4 paper, single-sided, and single-line spacing format. A new paragraph should start 5 characters from the left margin, using 12-size, Times New Roman font type.
- The manuscript is written in proper English.
- The top and bottom margins are 1 inch.
- The title is written using capital letters only for the first word or special name (for example, location name), 14 font size, and centre position.
- Subtitles are written using capital letters only at the first word or special name, 12 font size, starting from the left margin.
- Sub of subtitles, if any, are written using capital letters only at the first word or special name. They should be started from the left margin.
- Sub of a sub of subtitles, if any, are written using capital letters only at the beginning of each word except for connecting words, all in italics. They should be started from the left margin.
- References should be those of the last ten years' publication (>80%), except for key references (80%). Referring to any textbook should be minimized (<20%).
Specific Writing Format
- Equations and formulas should be numbered as (1) and (2). etc., appearing to their right.
- The paper does not directly present estimation results from a software package. They should be presented in summary tables.
Tables and Figures
Tables and figures should be presented as follows:
- The names of tables and figures should follow a numbering system (Arabic numbering system). The titles of the tables and figures are placed at the top and the bottom, respectively.
- The tables and figures should provide the source of information, if any, at the bottom.
- Any table should contain only the heading and contents. The table contains row lines only without column lines. Note(s) and source(s) should be included underneath the table where appropriate.
CITATION AND REFERENCES
Citation
Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also in the reference list (and vice versa). All citations in the text should refer to APA (American Psychological Association) style.

The Authors are recommended to use Mendeley Reference software.
References
The manuscript will involve approximately 20-25 primary and up-to-date references to assert high-quality contributions to knowledge development. Citations and references must strictly follow the APA (American Psychological Association) style. References should include only works cited within the text of the manuscript. Consulting the APA style manual (http://www.apastyle.org/pubmanual.html) is strongly recommended for completing manuscript submissions.

HOW TO SEND THE MANUSCRIPT
Submission
An author should first register as Author and may be offered as a Reviewer through the following address: link for a new author and registered Author.
After all form textbox was filled, the Author clicked on the "Register" button to proceed with the registration. Therefore, the Author is brought to an online author submission interface where Author should click on "New Submission". The following are five steps in the online submission process:
Step 1 - Starting the Submission: Select the article in the Journal section. Click save and continue.
Step 2 - Uploading the Submission: Click Choose the file on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file (.doc/.docx) to be submitted, then click the Upload button until the file has been uploaded. Do not upload supplementary files here. Click save and continue.
Step 3 - Entering Submission's Metadata: All author’s metadata should be entered, including the marked corresponding author. After that, the manuscript title and Abstract must be uploaded by copying the text and pasting it into the textbox, then typing keywords in the Indexing column. Click save and continue
Step 4 - Uploading Supplementary Files: Supplementary files should be uploaded with relevant information (if any). Therefore, click the Choose file button and then the Upload button. Click save and continue.
Step 5 - Confirming the Submission: The author checks the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to JKEK, click the Finish Submission button after the documents are true. The corresponding author or the principal contact will receive an acknowledgement by email. It will be able to view the submission's progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal web address site.
Final Decision
The manuscript decision is based on a peer-reviewing process. The decision on the acceptability of the manuscript for publication will be notified to author (s) through the website system in the following alternative conclusions:
- Accepted without revision, or
- Accepted with minor revision, or
- Accepted with major revision, or
- Rejected.
Revision of manuscripts
After revision, manuscripts sent back to the authors should be returned to the editor immediately. The revised manuscript should be uploaded to the Online Submission Interface in the "Upload Author Version" from the Review task window. The revised document should include:
One (1) MS Word file for Revision Note file in a table form concerning Reviewers' comments, including the revision's location on the revised manuscript. Download the Form Revision here.
One (1) MS Word file for the Revised Manuscript file according to Template-based format (MS Word file) (Important: please colour red highlight the revised sentences). The revised manuscript returned later than two months will be considered as a new submission and will be reviewed again by other peer-reviewers.
