Abstract
Makalah ini menyajikan identifikasi asam lemak pada limbah kelapa dengan metoda spektrometri massa kromatografi gas (GC-MS). Sampel limbah kelapa diambil dari toko produsen santan kelapa di Sleman, Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan pelarut n-heksana dalam tiga tahap, seperti ekstraksi soxhlet, distilasi dan asam lemak yang dianalisis dengan kromatografi spektrometri massa gas (CG-MS). Hasil analisis GC-MS menunjukkan dua puluh empat komponen. Kehadiran senyawa asam lemak ditandai dengan munculnya senyawa metil ester sebagai senyawa dominan. Asam lemak yang terkandung dalam limbah kelapa dari produksi santan sebagai yang paling dominan adalah asam laurat (19,59% / 11,464), asam oleat (18,50% / 17,979) dan asam palmitat (10,66% / 16.133). Hasil penelitian ini bermanfaat sebagai sumber referensi dan informasi baru
