Abstract
Organisasi pemerhati kasus heatstroke, No Heatstroke, mencatat sejak 1998 sampai September 2018, rata-rata 37 anak di Amerika Serikat meninggal karena terjebak di dalam mobil setiap tahun. Di Indonesia pun kasus serupa setiap tahunnya terus terjadi. Hal ini mendasari gagasan pembuatan GORMIN sebagai alat dan aplikasi yang mampu mencegah dan menemukan barang hingga anak-anak yang tertinggal atau luput dari pengawasan orangtua. Metode yang digunakan adalah filosofi kaizen yang meliputi tahap plan-do-check-action. GORMIN didesain berwujud gelang yang menyerupai jam tangan dengan fasilitas tracking GPS berbasis bluetooth connection dengan aplikasi yang mampu memberikan informasi terkait koordinat lokasi terakhir objek. Pengujian alat sebanyak 5 kali menunjukkan bahwa produk GORMIN mampu memberikan peringatan dini saat prototype dengan smartphone berjarak 5 meter – 10 meter jauhnya, dan pengiriman data koordinat lokasi prototype memiliki tingkat akurasi sebesar 80%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa inovasi GORMIN mampu mencegah dan menemukan suatu objek yang berupa barang ataupun anak-anak dari tertinggal.
