Pemanfaatan Koleksi Karya Ilmiah Digital Di UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Malang Menuju Akses Dengan Single Sign On (SSO)

Abstract

Bagi mahasiswa, koleksi karya ilmiah yang berbentuk skripsi, tesis dan disertasi tentunya sangat diperlukan untuk sumber rujukan dalam mengerjakan tugas akhir. Demikian juga dengan koleksi karya ilmiah yang ada di bagian referensi UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Malang (UM), dimana bagi pemustaka di perpustakaan tersebut termasuk koleksi yang paling banyak diminati sehingga dapat digolongkan sebagai koleksi yang tingkat keterpakaiannya tinggi. Di UPT Perpustakaan UM koleksi karya ilmiah yang tersedia berbentuk cetak dan digital. Fokus pembahasan peneliti adalah pada koleksi karya ilmiah yang berbentuk digital. Apakah koleksi- koleksi digital tersebut telah dimanfaatkan secara maksimal, dan apakah koleksi-koleksi  digital tersebut juga benar-benar memberikan manfaat yang besar kepada pemustaka khususnya seluruh sivitas akademika UM. Berdasarkan fenomena yang  tertera di atas, penulis tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian tentang seberapa maksimal dan efektif pemanfaatan karya ilmiah digital oleh pemustaka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan koleksi karya ilmiah digital di bagian referensi UPT Perpustakaan UM. Sehingga dari sini nantinya dapat dijadikan acuan dan pertimbangan untuk dapat juga diakses secara online diluar ruang baca. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan untuk analisis data dilakukan melalui cara menjelaskan dan menerangkan data. Pemanfaatan karya ilmiah digital sangat membantu para pemustaka yang ingin membaca karya ilmiah tersebut dalam bentuk cetak tetapi koleksi tersebut sudah digudangkan karena masuk daftar koleksi karya ilmiah yang sudah di weeding, terutama untuk skripsi. Selain itu juga membantu para pemustaka dari pasca sarjana yang ingin membaca tesis dan disertasi namun kesulitan membawa langsung dikarenakan tebal dan berat. Sehingga nantinya diharapkan pemanfaatan koleksi karya ilmiah digital tersebut bisa dari luar perpustakaan secara online, meskipun harus tetap dalam jaringan UM dengan menggunakan Single Sign On (SSO).

For students, a collection of scientific works in the form of theses, theses and dissertations is of course very necessary as a reference source in working on their final assignment. Likewise with the collection of scientific works in the UPT reference section of the State University of Malang (UM) Library, which for users in the library is one of the most popular collections so it can be classified as a collection with a high level of use. At the UPT UM Library, the collection of scientific works is available in print and digital form. The focus of the researcher's discussion is on collections of scientific works in digital form. Have these digital collections been utilized optimally, and have these digital collections really provided great benefits to readers, especially the entire UM academic community? Based on the phenomena listed above, the author is interested in conducting research on how maximally and effectively the use of digital scientific works is by readers. The aim of this research is to determine the use of digital scientific work collections in the UPT reference section of the UM Library. So that from here it can later be used as a reference and consideration so that it can also be accessed online outside the reading room. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach and data analysis is carried out by explaining and explaining the data. The use of digital scientific works is very helpful for readers who want to read scientific works in printed form but the collection has been stored because it is included in the list of scientific work collections that have been weeded, especially for theses. Apart from that, it also helps postgraduate users who want to read theses and dissertations but have difficulty carrying them directly because they are thick and heavy. So it is hoped that in the future the digital scientific work collection can be utilized online from outside the library, although it must remain within the UM network using Single Sign On (SSO).
