Journal Description

Unilib: Jurnal Perpustakaan is a published journal covering topics of interest to all those researching and working in the fields of library science, information and knowledge management. Journal editors receive material on any aspect of information science theory, policy, application or practice that will advance thinking in the field. Coverage topics in detail include:

• Theoretical and general aspects of libraries and information;


• Technical services in the library;


• Technology, use and sociology of information in libraries;


• Information literacy;


• Publishing and legal matters;


• Library Management;


• Resources.

The journal strives to publish articles in the field with a better understanding of the principles that underpin the creation, organization, storage, communication, and effective use of information and knowledge sources. Also an understanding of how policies and practices in these fields can be built on a solid theoretical foundation which is expected to have a greater impact on the development of science. Published by the Directorate of Libraries at the Islamic University of Indonesia twice a year, in February and August. Registered under ISSN number 1979-9527 (printed), ISSN 2715-274X (on line). The journal is fully open access for scholarly readers.
