Abstrak

Berdasarkan data Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa, industri mode (fashion) menyumbangkan sebanyak 10% dari total emisi global. Kondisi ini berkontribusi negatif terhadap perubahan iklim, terutama jika dikaitkan dengan Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan Poin 13, yaitu aksi iklim. Merespons kondisi tersebut, tim pengabdian Program Studi Hubungan Internasional (PSHI), Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), berupaya membuka peluang penerapan Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan Poin 13 di Madrasa Mahasiswa Muamalat, Yogyakarta. Metode kegiatan dilakukan secara tatap muka dengan melakukan sosialisasi dan memberikan pelatihan kepada para santri. Sesi pertama berupa Sosialisasi “Implementasi Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan Poin 13: Tren Fast Fashion”, sedangkan sesi kedua berupa “Pelatihan Pengolahan Limbah Mode Menjadi Tas”. Kegiatan pengabdian tersebut ditujukan untuk mendukung tercapainya target dalam Poin 13, yakni meningkatkan pendidikan, peningkatan kesadaran, serta peningkatan kapasitas sumber daya manusia dan kelembagaan tentang mitigasi, adaptasi, pengurangan dampak, dan peringatan dini perubahan iklim. Secara operasional kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran terhadap limbah fast fashion dan kapasitas santri dalam mitigasi serta adaptasi terhadap perubahan iklim. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah para santri mengalami peningkatan wawasan mengenai fast fashion dan perubahan iklim, serta santri memiliki kapasitas untuk membuat tas dari limbah fast fashion.
