Abstract
Sebagian besar siswa yang telah lulus dari Sekolah Menengah Atas akan melanjutkan pendidikannya ke dunia perkuliahan. Beberapa diantara siswa tersebut akan memilih berkuliah di luar daerahnya. Namun, dalam pelaksanaannya tidak semudah yang dibayangkan. Adanya sistem pembelajaran yang berbeda antara perkuliahan dengan Sekolah Menengah Atas serta budaya yang berbeda antara daerah asalnya dan daerah perantauannya membuat siswa mengalami culture shock. Culture shock pada mahasiswa akan menimbulkan masalah fisik dan psikis. Permasalahan tersebut dapat diatasi dengan culture intelligence. Culture intelligence menjelaskan mengenai komponen-komponen kecerdasan budaya dan skalanya yang dapat digunakan sebagai pedoman dalam mengatasi culture shock pada mahasiswa. Semakin tinggi skala culture intelligence yang dimiliki mahasiswa, semakin rendah tingkat culture shock yang dimiliki mahasiswa tersebut.
