Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi standar kompetensi pengawas madrasah berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Agama Nomor 2 Tahun 2012 di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY). Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara mendalam, analisis dokumen kebijakan, dan laporan supervisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan standar kompetensi, yang mencakup aspek kepribadian, supervisi akademik, evaluasi pendidikan, penelitian dan pengembangan, serta kompetensi sosial, telah memberikan dampak positif terhadap kualitas pendidikan madrasah di DIY. Namun, tantangan seperti kekurangan jumlah pengawas, tingginya beban kerja, dan keterbatasan penguasaan teknologi masih menjadi hambatan utama. Untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut, berbagai inovasi, seperti penggunaan aplikasi Jogja Madrasah Digital, dan kolaborasi melalui kelompok kerja pengawas madrasah (Pokjawas), diterapkan. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan kualitas supervisi melalui pelatihan berbasis teknologi, peningkatan jumlah pengawas, dan penguatan kebijakan alokasi sumber daya.
