Peer Review Process
Peer Review and Publication Process
-
The peer review process is double-blind and conducted entirely through the OJS (Open Journal System) online platform.
-
The Editor and Staff initially assess whether the manuscript complies with the conference scope and formatting standards. Articles outside the scope are rejected, while those not meeting the standards are returned to the authors for revision.
-
Manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using TURNITIN software. The Editor reviews the similarity report and may either reject the manuscript or request revisions to reduce similarity.
-
If the manuscript passes both scope and plagiarism checks, it is assigned to one editor and two reviewers are invited for peer review.
-
If both reviewers recommend rejection, the manuscript is rejected. If their opinions diverge, two additional reviewers are invited to provide further assessments.
-
The Editor may request additional clarifications or revisions from the authors, either along with or separate from the reviewers’ reports.
-
Generally, only one round of review is conducted. However, a second round may be initiated if major revisions are required.
-
The time allotted to authors for revisions depends on the complexity of the feedback and the review round. Failure to submit the revised manuscript on time may result in rejection. However, authors may resubmit the revised manuscript as a new submission.
-
The Editor or Editorial Board considers the reviewers' recommendations and makes a final decision. The possible outcomes are:
-
Accept Submission: Accepted without revisions.
-
Revisions Required: Accepted with minor revisions.
-
Resubmit for Review: Major revisions required; a second round of review is needed.
-
Decline Submission: Rejected and will not be published.
-
-
Accepted papers must be registered and presented at the conference by at least one of the authors.
-
All publication fees are the sole responsibility of the authors.
-
Manuscripts must be submitted via the OJS online system. A tutorial video is available to assist those unfamiliar with the platform.
