Publication Frequency

Jurnal Ekonomi & Keuangan Islam is published every January and July.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supporting a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. This journal also utilizes the Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital) system managed by the Ministry of Research, Technology, & Higher Education and the National Library Repository for digital archives of the journal.

 

Complaint Policy

This procedure applies to complaints about the policies, procedures, or actions of the JEKI editorial staff. We welcome complaints as they provide an opportunity and a spur for improvement, and we aim to respond quickly, courteously, and constructively. Please write your complaint with journal title, vol. no., issue no., paper ID, paper title, page no.

 

Criteria of a Complaint

Our definition of a complaint is as follows:

  • The complainant defines his or her expression of unhappiness as a complaint.
  • We infer that the complainant is not simply disagreeing with a decision we have made or something we have published (which happens every day) but thinks that there has been a failure of process – for example, a long delay or a rude response – or a severe misjudgments.
  • The complaint must be about something that is within the responsibility of the JEKI and content or process.

JEKI is aware of the complaints stated below:

  • Authorship complaints
  • Plagiarism complaints
  • Multiple, duplicate, concurrent publication/Simultaneous submission.
  • Undisclosed conflicts of interest
  • Reviewer bias or competitive harmful acts by reviewers.

Policy for Handling Complaints:

  • If the Journal receives a complaint that any contribution to the Journal break intellectual property rights or contains material inaccuracies or otherwise unlawful materials.
  • Investigation may include a request that the parties involved substantiate their claims.
  • The Journal will make a good faith determination whether to remove the allegedly wrongful material.
  • All the investigations and decisions are to be documented by the Journal.
  • We strive to ensure that JEKI is of the highest quality and is free from errors. However, we accept that occasionally mistakes might happen.

Editorial Complaints Policy

The Managing Editor and staff of that JEKI will make every efforts to put matters right as soon as possible in the most appropriate way, offering right of reply where necessary. As far as possible, we will investigate complaints in a blame-free manner, looking to see how systems can be improved to prevent mistakes occurring.

How to Make a Complaint

Complaints about editorial content should be made as soon as possible after publication, preferably in writing by email to: [email protected]

 

Plagiarism Check

Jurnal Ekonomi dan Keuangan Islam | Journal of Islamic Economics and Finance practices zero tolerance towards plagiarism. We use Turnitin to evaluate the similarity index and then the editor decides the case of possible plagiarism. Editorial board has passed the following actions:

  1. Similarity Index above 25 percent: Article Rejected (due to poor citation and/or poor paraphrasing, article outright rejected, no resubmission accepted).
  2. Similarity Index (15-25 percent): Send to the author for improvement (provide correct citations to all places of similarity and do good paraphrasing even if the citation is provided).
  3. Similarity index Less than 15 percent: Accepted or citation improvement may be required (proper citations must be provided to all outsourced texts).

In cases 2 and 3: The authors should revise the article carefully, add required citations, and do good paraphrasing to outsourced text. And resubmit the article with a new Turnitin report showing no plagiarism and similarity less than 15 percent.

 

Article Processing Charge

Jurnal Ekonomi dan Keuangan Islam (JEKI) does not impose an Article Processing Charge (APC) on the authors to submit or publish their papers. This policy ensures that authors do not face financial barriers in sharing their research with the broader academic community. By removing APCs, JEKI promotes open access to quality research and encourages contributions from diverse scholars regardless of their financial resources. This approach aligns with JEKI's commitment to fostering knowledge dissemination and to supporting the global academic community.
