Abstract
Abstract Asthma is a chronic respiratory disease characterized by inflammation, the increased reactivity against a variety of stimulus, and obstruction of the airways which can be returned spontaneously with or without appropriate treatment.Priority treatment of asthma has so far been shown to control the symptoms. The treatment has been carried out effectively to lower morbidity, because effectiveness is only achieved if the accuracy of the drug to the patient compliance. The effectiveness of asthma treatment can be determined by whether or not controlled asthma attacks suffered by patients. Assessment of asthma control can be done by using a questionnaire Asthma Control Test (ACT). This research was conducted to find out the description of the therapyand the effectiveness of the therapy by using a questionnaire (ACT) in a special Hospital Pulmonary Respira Yogyakarta region UPKPM Kalasan. This research is observational research with cross sectional design and data collection carried out retrospectively with sampling purposive sampling basis that meets the criteria for inclusion. The type of data used is primary data that directly interview patients using questionnaires and secondary data is medical records of patients with asthma. Research results obtained a description of therapy is often given to patients with asthma are Salbutamol and Aminofilin combination therapy in patients with mild persistent asthma degrees.
