Declaration of Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Writing Process
Authors are required to disclose the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AI-assisted technologies in the preparation of their manuscripts. This includes, but is not limited to, tools used for generating text, improving language quality, checking grammar, creating images or figures, analyzing data, or summarizing literature.
If AI or AI-assisted technologies were used, authors must provide a clear and transparent statement in the manuscript describing how these tools were applied during the writing or research process. The declaration should specify the name of the AI tool, version (if available), and the specific purpose of its use (e.g., grammar checking, reference management, text summarization, statistical analysis, or figure creation).
AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors, and authors are fully responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of all content produced with the assistance of AI. The use of AI must not compromise research integrity or lead to plagiarism, data fabrication, or manipulation.
If AI or AI-assisted technologies were not used, authors should include a statement confirming this, such as:
“No AI or AI-assisted technologies were used in the preparation of this manuscript.”
If AI or AI-assisted technologies were used, authors may include a statement such as:
“The authors used [name of AI tool] for [specific purpose, e.g., grammar checking and language refinement]. The final content, interpretation, and conclusions are entirely the authors’ own responsibility.”
This policy aims to promote transparency, uphold academic integrity, and ensure accountability in scholarly writing.
