Abstract
ABSTRACT: Creativity is a crucial aspect across various fields of human life. This study evaluates the Six Thinking Hats method's effectiveness in enhancing students' creativity. A quasi-experimental non-equivalent group pretest-posttest design was employed, involving an experimental group of 15 students and a control group of 36 students. The findings revealed an increase in the experimental group’s average pre-test score of 60.93 (standard deviation 3.15) to a post-test score of 74.60 (standard deviation 8.34). The Wilcoxon Signed Rank test yielded a Z-value of -3.411 with a p-value of 0.001, and the Mann-Whitney test showed a p-value of 0.000, confirming a significant improvement in the experimental group compared to the control group. These findings suggest that the Six Thinking Hats method can be integrated into educational practices to foster creative thinking. By applying this strategy, students can explore diverse perspectives, innovate, and generate new ideas valuable for both learning and daily life.
Keywords: creativity, creative thinking, strategy, six think hats, experimentation.
