Abstract
Pendidikan Al Quran (TPA) adalah sebuah lembaga pendidikan non-formal yang dihadirkan sebagai tempat pembelajaran Alquran bagi anak usia dini di Indonesia. Masyarakat sangat mengenal Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran dan tersebar di seluruh wilayah di Indonesia. Dalam hal ini budaya masyarakat sekitar sangat berpengaruh terhadap cara kerja sistem TPA. Dalam tulisan ini, peneliti menjadikan TPA Al-Muhtadin di Desa Turen dan TPA Al-Hidayah di Desa Besi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, sebagai objek penelitian untuk menganalisis secara mendalam bagaimana budaya masyarakat sekitar TPA mempengaruhi sistem TPA, keduanya memiliki latar belakang budaya yang berbeda meskipun berada dalam satu kota. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif yang mendeskripsikan hal-hal tentang pengaruh budaya terhadap sistem TPA. Teknik pengumpulan data ini dengan menggunakan metode observasi dan wawancara. Peneliti menemukan bahwa budaya masyarakat di sekitar TPA berpengaruh signifikan terhadap sistem kerja TPA dalam aspek manajemen, pengajaran, pembelajaran, dan perilaku. Penelitian ini memberikan dan menjelaskan informasi berharga tentang bagaimana masyarakat dan budaya sekitarnya mempengaruhi jalannya sistem TPA dan informasi mendalam tentang TPA itu sendiri yang merupakan salah satu lembaga pendidikan non-formal khas Indonesia.
