AIMS

Jurnal Ilmiah Farmasi (JIF) aims to advance scientific understanding and innovation in pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology, pharmacy practice, and public health, contributing to improved healthcare outcomes. JIF provides a robust platform for researchers, academics, and practitioners to disseminate significant findings and insights through high-quality research articles, comprehensive reviews, and well-documented case reports. The journal encourages interdisciplinary collaboration, fostering integration across basic, clinical, and applied pharmaceutical disciplines.

SCOPE

Jurnal Ilmiah Farmasi is a peer-reviewed scientific journal managed by the Department of Pharmacy, Universitas Islam Indonesia. The journal publishes biannually and includes original research articles, review articles, and case reports, covering a wide array of topics in pharmaceutical areas. As the journal expands its scope, we have aligned our coverage with major categories from Scopus, focusing on the following key areas:

  1. Pharmaceutical Science: This area encompasses research and development in drug design, formulation, and delivery systems, focusing on innovations such as targeted and controlled drug delivery, nanotechnology applications in pharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical biotechnology, physical pharmacy, pharmaceutical engineering, drug stability, pharmaceutical analysis, quality assurance, and pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics modeling.
  2. Pharmacology: Articles within this scope focus on the biological effects of drugs and chemical agents, including studies on mechanism of action, therapeutic and adverse effects, toxicological evaluation, drug interactions, pharmacogenomics, experimental and clinical pharmacology, and translational pharmacology aimed at bridging laboratory findings to clinical practice.
  3. Pharmacy Practice: This field covers professional practice aspects, including medication therapy management, patient counseling and education, pharmacy education, regulatory affairs, and advanced pharmacy practice initiatives aimed at optimizing patient care and medication safety.
  4. Public Health, Environmental and Occupational Health: Research in this area addresses the roles of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences in public health initiatives, environmental health impacts related to medication use and pharmaceutical manufacturing, drug safety in occupational settings, antimicrobial stewardship, health economics, pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacovigilance, health promotion, and policies influencing the role of pharmacists and pharmaceutical services in community and clinical settings.

JIF accepts original research articles, comprehensive review articles, and detailed case reports (analyzing multiple cases or conditions). Submissions are expected to demonstrate robust methodology, clear significance, and potential impact on the advancement of pharmaceutical knowledge and healthcare practice.

Submission Types

JIF welcomes submissions in the following formats:

  • Research Articles: Original studies contributing to the advancement of knowledge in pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology, pharmacy practice, and public health.
  • Review Articles: Comprehensive overviews of specific topics in the field, summarizing current research trends and identifying future research directions.
  • Case Reports: Reports that analyze more than one case, providing insights into clinical or therapeutic scenarios, highlighting lessons learned, and proposing recommendations based on evidence.
