As part of the submission process, authors are required to ensure that their submission complies with all of the following requirements. Submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines may be returned to the authors.

  • ☑  The submission has not been previously published, nor is it under consideration by another journal (or an explanation has been provided in the Comments to the Editor section).
  • ☑  The submission file is in Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document format.
  • ☑  Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • ☑  The text is single-spaced, uses a 12-point font, employs italics rather than underlining (except for URL addresses), and places all illustrations, figures, and tables within the text at the appropriate points rather than at the end.
  • ☑  The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • ☑  If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
  • ☑  The author agrees to pay the Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 500,000, as indicated in the Author Fees section.

 

Manuscripts submitted to el-Tarbawi will be considered for publication based on the following criteria:

  1. The manuscript presents original and contributive ideas on contemporary Islamic Education issues.
  2. The manuscript is an original work that has not been previously submitted to or is under review by another publisher. The editorial board will conduct a similarity check using Turnitin and iThenticate. Manuscripts showing a similarity index between 21–40% will require major revision before further review, while those exceeding 40% will be returned to the author.
  3. The manuscript is written in Bahasa Indonesia and/or in one of the official languages of the United Nations, demonstrating a good command of academic writing.
  4. Each manuscript should include, in order: title, author’s name, affiliation, email address, abstract, keywords, main content, and references.
  5. The abstract must be written in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, consisting of approximately 100–200 words.
    • ☑ For research-based articles: the abstract should include the research objective, methodology, and findings.
    • ☑ For conceptual articles: the abstract should include the background of the problem, discussion, and conclusion.
  6. Keywords should consist of a maximum of five words that reflect the overall content of the manuscript.
  7. The manuscript should be 5,000–8,000 words (or 15–20 pages of A4-sized paper) with 1.15 line spacing.
  8. The manuscript uses footnotes following the APA Style and employs an online reference manager (e.g., Zotero, Mendeley, etc.) for citation management.
  9. References must be automatically compiled using an online reference management application.
  10. The editorial board reserves the right to edit or revise the manuscript without altering its substance.
  11. Submitted manuscripts will receive one of the following editorial decisions:
    • ☑ Accepted without revision
    • ☑ Accepted with major revision
    • ☑ Accepted with minor revision
    • ☑ Rejected

Authors will receive an official notification if their manuscript is rejected by the editorial board.
