Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to ABHATS: Jurnal Islam Ulil Albab undergo an initial screening by the editorial team to ensure their relevance to the journal’s focus and scope as well as compliance with the author guidelines. Manuscripts that meet these criteria are then sent for a double-blind peer review process.

In the double-blind review process, both author and reviewer identities are kept anonymous to maintain objectivity. Each article is reviewed by at least two reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on originality, scientific contribution, methodological clarity, and relevance to the journal’s themes.

Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor will decide whether the manuscript is accepted without revision, accepted with revision, or rejected. The final decision for publication rests solely with the editorial board. The review process typically takes between 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the reviewers’ responses and the authors’ revisions.
