Authors who publish in the International Journal of Halal Industry (IJHI) agree to the following terms:
- Copyright Ownership
Authors retain the copyright of their published work. By submitting and publishing their manuscript in IJHI, authors grant the journal the right of first publication while maintaining ownership of their intellectual property.

All articles published in IJHI are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
Under this license, users are free to read, download, copy, distribute, print, share, adapt, and reuse the published material for any lawful purpose, including commercial use, provided that:
- Appropriate credit is given to the original author(s);
- A citation to the original publication in IJHI is provided;
- A link to the CC BY-SA 4.0 license is included;
- Any modifications made to the original work are clearly indicated; and
- Any derivative works are distributed under the same license.

- Author Rights
Authors may enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the published version of their work, including but not limited to:
- Depositing the article in institutional or subject repositories;

- Including the article in books, theses, dissertations, or other scholarly works;
- Using the article for educational and research purposes.
In all cases, proper acknowledgment of the original publication in IJHI must be provided.
- Self-Archiving Policy
IJHI supports the principles of Open Access and encourages the dissemination of scholarly research. Authors are permitted and encouraged to make their work publicly available before submission (preprint), during the review process where appropriate, and after publication.
Authors may archive and share:
- The submitted manuscript (preprint);
- The accepted manuscript (postprint);
- The published version of record.
When sharing the published article, authors are encouraged to include the article DOI and a citation to the official publication in IJHI.
- Attribution Requirement
Any reuse, distribution, reproduction, or adaptation of IJHI content must provide appropriate attribution to the original author(s) and acknowledge the article’s initial publication in the International Journal of Halal Industry (IJHI).
