Journal Description

The Emerging Statistics and Data Science Journal (e-ISSN: 2986-4178, p-ISSN: 2988-4004)  is published by the Statistics Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Universitas Islam Indonesia. It serves as a platform for the publication of scientific articles for academics and practitioners in the field of statistics.


To ensure high quality, the journal collaborates with faculty members from various universities and conducts periodic evaluations. The Emerging Statistics and Data Science Journal is committed to publishing three issues each year—in January, May, and October. The journal covers a range of topics, including statistical methodology, applied statistics in business, industry, and social studies, as well as data science and other fields related to statistics and its applications.

We invite researchers to submit manuscripts to ESDS. Manuscript submission deadline:

  • Vol. 4 Issue 1 (January 2026)
  • Vol. 4 Issue 2 (May 2026)
  • Vol. 4 Issue 3 (October 2026)

Reviewer Criteria:

  1. Applicants must have published articles as either the first author or corresponding author in a peer-reviewed scientific journal within the last five years, at a level appropriate for their career stage.  
  2. Candidates must be employed full-time as a lecturer or researcher at an accredited or reputable educational or research institution.  
  3. A Google Scholar or SCOPUS account is required.  
  4. A minimum of a master's degree or its equivalent is necessary.  
  5. Experience in managing scientific journals or serving as a reviewer is considered a valuable asset.
