Abstract

Kajian tentang perbedaan sikap dan perilaku antar generasi telah mendapat banyak perhatian di literatur, tidak terkecuali di literatur keuangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengamati perbedaan literasi keuangan dan perilaku belanja Generasi X & Y. Total 200 kuesioner disebarkan dan diisi oleh masing-masing Generasi X sebanyak 95 responden dan Generasi Y sebanyak 105 responden. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik deskriptif, uji kualitas data terdiri dari uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas serta uji hipotesis menggunakan uji beda independen. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa baik literasi keuangan maupun perilaku belanja generasi X & Y tidak berbeda secara signifikan. Temuan ini tidak berkesesuaian dengan temuan banyak penelitian yang mengidentifikasi adanya pola perbedaan perilaku pada pengelolaan keuangan personal antar generasi.
