Plagiarism Policy

Jurnal Sains & Teknologi Lingkungan (JSTL) strictly prohibits plagiarism in any form and upholds high standards of academic integrity in accordance with the COPE Best Practice Guidelines.

All submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Any use of ideas, data, or words from other sources must be properly cited.

All manuscripts are screened using recognized plagiarism detection software. JSTL applies a maximum similarity index of 15%, excluding references, quotations, and commonly used phrases.

If plagiarism is identified:

  • Manuscripts with minor plagiarism will be returned to authors for revision.

  • Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 15% must be revised; failure to meet the threshold after revision will result in rejection.

  • Manuscripts involving major plagiarism, duplicate publication, or self-plagiarism will be rejected.

  • If plagiarism is discovered after publication, JSTL may issue a correction or retraction in accordance with COPE guidelines.

Authors are fully responsible for the content of their submissions.
