Since 2009, Jurnal Sains & Teknologi Lingkungan has been published as a fully open access journal, with all articles licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
Jurnal Sains & Teknologi Lingkungan (JSTL) published twice a year in January and June is a scientific journal that publishes scientific research papers and ideas in the field of science and technology related to environmental issues. The journal covers typical subjects of environmental sciences and technologies such as.: Drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment, solid waste treatment, solid waste management, cleaner production, air pollution management, resource recovery, water pollution, soil contamination, and other relevant fields. JSTL published by the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII) in collaboration with Association of Indonesian Sanitation and Environmental Engineering Experts (IATPI) only accepts original scientific works that have not been published by other medias. All incoming articles will be reviewed in advance by competent reviewers before being eligible for publication.
An article submitted to the journal will undergo an anonymous peer review process, in which the reviewers’ identities are concealed from the authors. Each manuscript is reviewed by two independent experts in the relevant field of study. The review process typically takes approximately 8 weeks. If both reviewers recommend acceptance, the Editor-in-Chief will proceed with publication after the required revisions are completed. In cases where the reviewers’ recommendations differ, the final decision regarding publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief.
The journal publishes two issues in one volume a year. The issues are expected to be published in January and June of each year.
Jurnal Sains & Teknologi Lingkungan provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles published in this journal are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited and any derivative works are distributed under the same license.
Jurnal Sains & Teknologi Lingkungan (JSTL) ensures long-term digital preservation through participation in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). All published articles are archived in PKP PN and remain openly accessible via the journal’s Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
