al-Mawarid: Jurnal Syari’ah & Hukum is a peer-reviewed journal published two times a year (February and August) by the Department of Ahwal Syakhshiyah, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Islam Indonesia, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Formerly, first published in 1993, al-Mawarid was initially published as Al-Mawarid: Jurnal Hukum Islam, an Indonesian bi-annual journal on Islamic Law. Since 2019, to enlarge its scope, this journal transforms its name to al-Mawarid: Jurnal Syari’ah dan Hukum.

al-Mawarid warmly welcomes graduate students, academicians, and practitioners to analytically discuss and deeply explore new issues in relation to the improvement of shari'ah and law challenges and beyond.

Note: The previous version of this journal was entitled "Al-Mawarid: Jurnal Hukum Islam" published from 1993 until 2015. The archives of the journal can be found in this link

Authors are not permitted to withdraw submitted or published manuscripts without compelling reasons, as withdrawal results in the unnecessary use of valuable time and resources invested by editors, reviewers, and the publisher. If authors still wish to request a withdrawal, they must submit an Article Withdrawal Form signed by all authors or by the corresponding author, clearly stating the reasons for the request. Authors should not assume that their manuscript has been withdrawn until they receive formal confirmation from the editorial office. It is considered unethical to withdraw a submitted or published manuscript from one journal if it has been accepted by another journal.
