Authors who publish in the International Journal of Halal Industry (IJHI) agree to the following terms:

Copyright Retention

Authors retain full copyright of their published work. By submitting and publishing their manuscript in IJHI, authors grant the journal the right of first publication. The published article remains the intellectual property of the author(s), while IJHI retains the right to publish, distribute, archive, index, and preserve the article as part of the journal record.

Open Access License

All articles published in IJHI are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

Under this license, readers and users are free to:

  • Share, copy, and redistribute the material in any medium or format;
  • Adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial purposes;

provided that:

  • Appropriate credit is given to the original author(s);
  • A citation to the original publication in IJHI is provided;

Author Rights

Authors retain the following rights without restriction:

  • Copyright ownership of the article;
  • Patent and trademark rights, where applicable;
  • The right to reuse all or part of the article in future books, lectures, teaching materials, dissertations, and other scholarly works;
  • The right to deposit the published article in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal websites, and academic social networks;
  • The right to distribute the published article electronically or in print for educational and research purposes.

Authors are encouraged to disseminate their published work widely to increase visibility, accessibility, and scholarly impact.

Self-Archiving Policy

IJHI supports the principles of Open Science and Open Access. Authors may deposit and share:

  • Submitted Version (Preprint);
  • Accepted Manuscript (Postprint);
  • Publisher’s Version (Version of Record).

Authors are encouraged to include the article DOI and citation to the published version on the IJHI website whenever possible.

Author Warranties

By submitting a manuscript to IJHI, authors confirm that:

  • The manuscript is original and has not been previously published elsewhere;
  • The manuscript is not under consideration by another journal;
  • All listed authors have made significant scholarly contributions to the work;
  • The manuscript does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party;
  • Any copyrighted material used in the manuscript has received the necessary permissions;
  • The research complies with applicable ethical standards and regulations.

Authors bear full responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and legality of the content presented in their articles.

Third-Party Use

Any individual, institution, organization, or commercial entity may reuse, distribute, translate, reproduce, or adapt IJHI articles under the terms of the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.

Neither the authors nor IJHI endorse any derivative work, adaptation, product, or service created from published content unless explicitly stated.

No Royalties

Authors will not receive royalties or monetary compensation for publication. Likewise, IJHI does not claim ownership of authors’ intellectual property beyond the rights necessary for publication, dissemination, indexing, and preservation of the scholarly record.

Permanent Scholarly Record

Published articles constitute part of the permanent scholarly record of IJHI. The journal reserves the right to preserve, archive, and maintain access to published content through recognized digital preservation systems and indexing services to ensure long-term accessibility and citation integrity.

Any correction, retraction, or withdrawal of published content shall be conducted in accordance with IJHI's Publication Ethics and Retraction Policy.
