Open Access Policy
The International Journal of Halal Industry (IJHI) is committed to the principles of Open Access and the unrestricted dissemination of scholarly knowledge. The journal believes that making research freely available to the public supports the global exchange of knowledge, promotes academic collaboration, enhances research visibility, and contributes to the advancement of science and society.
All articles published in IJHI are made immediately and permanently available online without any subscription fees, registration requirements, embargo periods, or access restrictions. Readers may freely access, read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, and use the full text of published articles for lawful purposes without prior permission from the publisher or authors, provided that proper attribution is given to the original work.
This policy is consistent with the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), which advocates for free and unrestricted access to scholarly literature to accelerate research, enrich education, and facilitate the sharing of knowledge worldwide.
Author Rights and Copyright
Authors retain the copyright of their published work. By publishing in IJHI, authors grant the journal the right of first publication while maintaining ownership of their intellectual property.
All published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). This license permits users to:
- Share, copy, and redistribute the material in any medium or format;
- Adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use;
provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s), a citation to the original publication is included, a link to the license is provided, and any modifications are clearly indicated. Any derivative works must be distributed under the same license.
No Access Charges
IJHI does not charge readers or institutions for accessing published content. All articles are freely available immediately upon publication, ensuring equitable access to scholarly knowledge for researchers, practitioners, policymakers, students, and the general public worldwide.
No Submission or Publication Fees
At present, IJHI does not impose any fees for manuscript submission, article processing, peer review, publication, or online access. Authors are not required to pay any Article Processing Charges (APCs) or publication-related fees.
Any future changes to the journal’s fee policy will be clearly announced on the journal website before implementation.
Long-Term Accessibility
To ensure the long-term availability and preservation of published content, IJHI implements digital preservation and archiving mechanisms in accordance with international publishing standards. Published articles remain permanently accessible through the journal website and associated preservation systems.
