el-Tarbawi P-ISSN: 1979-9985 E-ISSN: 2714-5492 published first edition in 2008 and since has regularly become the beacon of academic elaboration in the field of Islamic education. 


el-Tarbawi covers up theoretical and empirical research related to Islamic Education. It is schedulely published twice a year, on June and December by Islamic Education Department, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Islam Indonesia. All articles in el-Tarbawi are published through peer-review process by those who have academic expertise in the field of Islamic Education

El-Tarbawi Journal – In Commemoration of the 2025 National Santri Day

The El-Tarbawi Journal invites scholars, researchers, and practitioners to submit manuscripts focusing on Islamic education in celebration of National Santri Day 2025. Selected articles will receive fast-track publication in Vol. 18 No. 1 (December 2025), with a special emphasis on the theme of pesantren (Islamic boarding school) education.
