Peer Review Process
Jurnal Siasat Bisnis applies a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, objectivity, and academic integrity of all published articles. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed from each other throughout the review stages.
All submitted manuscripts are treated equally and processed strictly in accordance with the journal’s editorial policy. Jurnal Siasat Bisnis does not provide a fast-track review scheme, nor does it apply any slotting or quota-based acceptance system. Submissions are accepted at any time during the year and are processed in accordance with the journal’s standard editorial procedures.
Review Stages
Each manuscript submitted to Jurnal Siasat Bisnis undergoes the following stages:
1. Initial Editorial Evaluation
Upon submission, the manuscript is reviewed by the editorial team to assess its suitability with the journal’s scope, academic relevance, originality, and compliance with the author guidelines. This initial screening typically takes around two weeks from the submission date.
2. Editorial Decision (Desk Review)
At this stage, the editor evaluates whether the manuscript meets the minimum scholarly standards and has sufficient potential for publication. If the manuscript is considered unsuitable, it will be rejected at this stage.
In some cases, the editor may request the author(s) to revise the manuscript prior to external peer review, for example to improve clarity, structure, or compliance with journal guidelines. Once the revised manuscript is submitted and deemed adequate, the editor may proceed to send it to reviewers.
3. Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the desk review are sent to independent reviewers with relevant expertise. Reviewers assess the manuscript based on scientific rigor, methodological soundness, clarity of argumentation, contribution to knowledge, and ethical considerations.
This review process generally takes approximately 1–3 months, depending on reviewer availability and the complexity of the manuscript.
4. Editorial Decision and Revision
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in response to the reviewers’ comments and submit a revised version within the specified timeframe.
After receiving the revised manuscript, the editor will evaluate the adequacy of the revisions and may decide to accept, reject, or send the manuscript to a subsequent round of peer review, if necessary.
5. Final Decision
The final decision regarding publication is made by the editor after careful consideration of the reviewers’ reports and the authors’ revisions.
Transparency and Fairness
The editorial team of Jurnal Siasat Bisnis is committed to maintaining a fair, unbiased, and transparent review process. Editorial decisions are based solely on academic quality and scholarly contribution, without regard to authors’ institutional affiliation, nationality, or funding sources.
