Lex Renaissance is a peer-reviewed international journal published by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Indonesia. Its name embodies its intellectual mission: the renaissance (the rebirth and renewal) of lex, the law. In the spirit of the historical Renaissance that revived critical inquiry and reimagined inherited traditions, the journal is devoted to the continual reawakening of legal thought: rethinking established doctrines, renewing legal institutions, and cultivating the innovation through which law is reborn to meet the demands of each era.
The journal advances scholarship at the intersection of legal reform, legal innovation, jurisprudential renewal, and comparative legal studies, examining how law is transformed in response to constitutional, social, technological, economic, and governance change. While attentive to legal developments in Indonesia, it welcomes comparative, transnational, and international perspectives, seeking to bridge Indonesian legal scholarship with global legal discourse and to strengthen the rule of law, constitutionalism, democracy, and good governance. Since 2023, Lex Renaissance has been published biannually in June and December, under ISSN (Print) 2620-5386 and ISSN (Online) 2620-5394.

The journal prioritizes doctrinal, normative, comparative, and jurisprudential research that contributes to legal development, institutional reform, and regulatory innovation. It aims to bridge Indonesian legal scholarship with global legal discourse and promote stronger rule of law, constitutionalism, democracy, and good governance. Since 2023, Lex Renaissance has been published biannually in June and December and is registered under ISSN (Print) 2620-5386 and ISSN (Online) 2620-5394.
True to its name (the renaissance, or rebirth, of lex, the law) the journal is anchored in the politics of law (politik hukum) and the theory of responsive law, drawing on Mahfud MD, Nonet and Selznick, and Satjipto Rahardjo's progressive law. It asks of every manuscript not merely a description of what the law is, but rigorous inquiry into how, why, and under what conditions the law is reborn.

Sehubungan dengan peningkatan akreditasi Jurnal Lex Renaissance dari SINTA 4 menjadi SINTA 2, serta sebagai bagian dari komitmen kami dalam meningkatkan kualitas publikasi ilmiah, pengelola jurnal menetapkan adanya penyesuaian biaya pemrosesan artikel (Article Processing Charge/APC).
Mulai edisi Vol. 11 No. 1: Juni 2026, biaya pemrosesan artikel yang semula sebesar Rp 500.000,- per naskah akan disesuaikan menjadi Rp 1.500.000,- per naskah.
Biaya tersebut mencakup proses editorial, peer-review, penyuntingan, serta publikasi artikel secara profesional guna menjaga dan meningkatkan standar kualitas jurnal.
Pemberitahuan mengenai kewajiban pembayaran APC akan disampaikan kepada penulis setelah naskah dinyatakan diterima untuk diterbitkan (accepted).
