Journal Description
Berkala Ilmiah Kedokteran dan Kesehatan Masyarakat is a peer reviewed journal published by the Faculty of Medicine Islamic University of Indonesia since 2023 with the title Berkala Ilmiah Kedokteran dan Kesehatan Masyarakat, then used to be Scientific Periodical Journal of Medicine and Public Health as a translation.
Aims
We aim to publish ethically sound and methodologically rigorous scientific research in medicine and public health, including original studies, literature reviews, and case reports.

This edition has been available online since January 31, 2026. The current issue features a collection of 15 scholarly articles (5 research articles, 4 case reports, and 6 literature reviews) contributed by researchers from 16 distinguished institutions across Indonesia. The contributing affiliations include Universitas Islam Indonesia, Universitas Airlangga, Universitas Pakuan, Universitas Darussalam Gontor, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Diponegoro, Universitas Sebelas Maret, UPN Veteran Jakarta, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, Universitas Nahdhatul Ulama Surabaya, and several major teaching hospitals including RSUP Dr. Kariadi and RSUD Dr. Soetomo.

- Forensic and legal medicine: A case report on forensic examination findings in child sodomy cases from Universitas Diponegoro, literature reviews on bullying in medical education as a human rights violation under Indonesian Law No. 1/2023, integrated service systems for victims of violence against women and children in hospitals, and the implications of Presidential Regulation No. 59/2024 on health insurance coverage for crime victims.
- Clinical assessment systems: A review of scoring systems for evaluating critically ill patient outcomes in Indonesian Intensive Care Units.
